NUAMPS debuts yet another program on the Big Ten Network! Pines of Rome and Susannah is a program featuring excerpts of Ottorino Respighi’s “Pini di Roma” (Pines of Rome) and Carlisle Floyd’s “Ain’t it a Pretty Night?” from the opera Susannah. Pines of Rome features the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra and is conducted by Emanuele Andrizzi. “Ain’t it a Pretty Night?” features Samantha Barnes delivering an excellent performance, accompanied by NUSO, conducted by Emanuele Andrizzi. A combination of live performances and interviews, Pines of Rome and Susannah explores the composition and style of the pieces as well as the connections to the conductor and featured soloist.
Pines of Rome and Susannah debuts this Wednesday (Feb. 3) at 3pm on the Big Ten Network!
