This weekend while scouting a location for a short (non-work related) film I am shooting, the director and I snapped photos of the various rooms that we intend to use. At some point, we decided to get a sense of the space with posed shots of the director, and before we knew it we were storyboarding the whole film in my digital SLR.

For this particular film there are not many characters, and some of the story will actually be told through stills anyway, so it made sense. And while I can draw in a pinch, I typically don’t have to say things like, “No, that’s a nose” with my photographs.
