The second Chicago Colloquium on Digital Humanities and Computer Science will be held on October 21-22, 2007 at Northwestern University. The event is jointly sponsored by the Illinois Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, and the University of Chicago. The theme for this colloquium will be “Exploring the scholarly query potential of high quality text and image archives in a collaborative environment.”
Harlan Wallach, AT Architect for Media Technologies, will be presenting on NUAMPS’ recent digitization project Imag(n)ing Shuilu’an, an effort in which media experts and software development specialists from Academic Technologies worked with the Shaanxi Provincial Wenwujiu (cultural relics bureau) through a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to completely document the interior of a temple near Xi’an, China in high-resolution digital imagery.
NUAMPS designers also developed the colloquium’s website.
