Mediaworks Promo Contest Winners


Amateur rappers with a love for Apple G5’s were awarded top honors in the third annual MediaWorks Promo Contest sponsored by Northwestern University Information Technology (NUIT). Scott McLeod and Matthew Turpin won a 60Gb Apple video iPod for their 30 second spot, “Final Project.”

“Final Project” parodies the Saturday Night Live skit “Lazy Sunday” by Chris Parnell and Andy Samberg and depicts two students with a quickly approaching deadline for a final project saved by MediaWorks lab. “Get Media-Smart” by Stephen Wylie and David McCoul won second place, and “An Experimental Computer-Made Movie” by J. J. Levy received third.
