For the past three weeks, our Media & Design team has been privileged to host one of six Palestinian undergraduate students brought to Northwestern by an education grant through the Searle Center. Riham Khrub studies computer science in the city of Nablus on the West Bank. With career aspirations in website development and video editing, she was a perfect fit for our team.
The Searle/CS education grant is funded by the US Consulate in Jerusalem in order to help improve Computer Science education in Palestine. During their time at Northwestern, each student worked in a different lab or group on campus to learn skills in their area of interest. The Searle Center also dedicated an entire program for these students, including lunch and learns, field trips, housing, and other enrichment activities while they were our guests.
Farewell Riham and good luck on your media and design career path!
