The NUAMPS video crew recorded the first TEDx event at Northwestern University last Wednesday evening at the McCormick Tribune Forum room. TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, and TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. This event, sponsored by the Silverstein Lecture Series and Science in Society, focused on the concept of “Identity”, and featured live speakers, Alice Dreger, PhD, and Rick Kittles, PhD. It was a fascinating event, and viewers will be able to see it online here after we’ve delivered the edited programs.
