MSLOC at the Catalyst Ranch

“Leveraging Design Principles and Techniques to Facilitate Organizational Change” was the topic of the panel discussion at the eclectic Catalyst Ranch on Friday.  The NUAMPS video team had the pleasure of shooting the event Friday afternoon for the Masters of Science in Learning and Organizational Change program.

The panel moderated by Kimberly S. Scott (Director, Master of Science in Learning and Organizational Change, Northwestern University) included Andrew Burroughs (Partner at IDEO), Kelly Costello (Research Discipline Practice Lead at IA Collaborative), Shannon Ford (Founder of Motif), and Jeanne Marie Olson (Lecturer at Northwestern University).

The objective of the panel session is to give design and human capital practitioners an opportunity to learn what design thinking is, a clear understanding of specific product and service design principles and approaches that may apply to organizational change management practices, the chance to collaboratively explore with design practitioners whether there is a way to translate design thinking into new approaches for facilitating organizational change, and potential implications for organizational culture, talent development, and diversity in the workplace.
