An interesting presentation from Stephanie Rieger and Bryan Rieger discussed on UX Magazine. The basic concept is that since there are significantly more targets to hit when designing for mobile than desktop and because so few standards can be relied upon for that broad market (relative to the desktop market), we might want to consider targeting small screen/mobile/feature poor devices first. Then specify resources for larger viewports and feature rich clients.
It’s worth a thought.
