We began the final phase of training for the Consultation and Team Training grant with the Dunhuang Academy today. We spent the morning getting updates on the Academy’s digitization progress, and introducing the concept of cross-polariztion in shooting reflective surfaces. In the photo above, Harlan is in the middle of a theoretical discussion of coherent wavelength orientation. The DA photography teams will use this new training in the field to digitize a reflective mural in Tibet later this summer.
