A few weeks ago we produced an installation for the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art exhibit Casting a Shadow: Creating the Alfred Hitchcock Film. The interactive installation involved pairing two key scenes from the film Lifeboat with the original story boards. With each cut of the film, the installation updates the associated board for comparison.
I had been through the gallery before the exhibit opened and was impressed, but Sunday was the first time I got to wander through as a real visitor. There was quite a crowd for a sunny Sunday afternoon, and people seemed really engaged. I have to admit I hung out around our installation a while and watched as numerous visitors interacted with it and discussed what they saw. Will Schmenner curated the exhibit, and as testament to his great vision, the NUAMPS-produced installation was positioned front and center.
