TriQuarterly ONLINE runner-up for best new online magazine

One of our great projects of the last couple of years has been the TriQuarterly Online Literary Journal. IF you recall, it wasn’t two years ago that The Chronicle announced “Literary Circles Reel at Northwestern’s Plans for ‘TriQuarterly'”. It was with great trepidation and respect here in NUIT A&RT that we began the transition effort as the design and technical team responsible for transitioning the magazine from its storied print past to its potential future in the online publishing world. Our close collaboration with NU Faculty Reginald Gibbons, Sandi Weisenberg, & Susan Harris, as well as the great student editors and student production staff we have had the opportunity to work with during this past introductory period are to be greatly credited with what this magazine has become. This past month the Triquarterly Online was named a runner-up for the Million Writers Award for best new online magazine. I’m humbled by the opportunity we have had to work with such a great faculty team, and that our efforts have been recognized in the literary community. In no way is this the end, we’ve got a lot of new ideas, and a lot of new features we’re going to be developing in the next year, but it is great to see our team’s efforts noticed in this award.
