We are delighted to be working with Teri Odom and her freshman seminar class again this year! Jane, one of our extraordinary student video specialists, and I joined Dr. Odom’s seminar for two class sessions to introduce students to a variety of media creation tools for use in creating their final projects. We explored video pre-production and storyboarding, visited the One Button Studio, trained students to use the Lightboard Studio with the help of a talented Lightboard student specialist, Maggie, and explored four animation and editing mobile apps: LapseIt, Sketchbook Motion, Adobe Clip, and Pinnacle Studio. During the rest of the quarter, each group of students will develop a script about an aspect of nanotechnology and turn it into a short video. We can’t wait to see what they create and are delighted to get to be part of the learning process!
