Having only two arms can feel limiting for a cinematographer. Getting the steady shot, tracking your subject, pulling focus, and adjusting frame can be a bit more than our limbs are made for, especially even while tracking with a gimbal. Enter Freefly’s MIMIC for the Movi: a wireless kinetic controller that allows a second user to pan, tilt, and yaw your camera as if they were holding it themselves! We ran a test this week for an upcoming project, and it works like a charm.
