YouTube has launched a new tool for called YouTube Insight which builds reports based on viewing statistics for individual videos. The tool is clearly an extension of Google Analytics tools and offers readable, clean graphs and maps to illustrate views over time associated with viewer location.
There is also a report on a video’s popularity which essentially depicts the video’s percentage of the specified ‘market’ for a given time period. For instance views of the NU Chorale & Symphonic Wind Ensemble | March 4, 2007 | pt represented about .25% of the total views from California on Wednesday, January 30, 2007.
