Deirdre Lee joins NUIT A&RT AMPS

My name is Deirdre and I’m proud to join the NUIT A&RT AMPS team as a Digital Media Specialist. I earned a BA with Honors in Communication Studies and a minor in Studio Art from the University of Iowa. After working several years as a Video Specialist in Distance Education and Learning Technologies at the University of Iowa, I decided to pursue a MFA in Film and Video at Columbia College Chicago. After completing my MFA, I taught film production as an Adjunct Faculty member at Columbia College.  I really wanted to return to academic technologies so I started doing contracted work for NUIT A&RT AMPS in November 2011 including being the Editor for the TEDx Northwestern U  “The Complex World of Fertility” videos and Project Manager for the Institute for Policy Research “Quasi-Experimental Design and Analysis workshop” videos. My current projects are the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center STAR Program videos “Get Empowered: Life, Living and Follow-Up Care after Childhood Cancer” and am the Co-Lead for the LoudCloud Systems Learning Management system pilot for Professor Lynne Kiesling’s ECON 318 course.
